Three Electrical Engineering students won first prize of all ICT projects for their graduation project at the Arab Innovation Network Annual Conference organized by Cambridge University's Arab Innovation Network Society and held in the United Arab Emirates. The research project conducted by three female Electrical Engineering students, Tamara Sandouka, Mariam Yahya and Hadeel Izz, supervised by Professor Wael Hashlamoun. The project, entitled “Speaker Recognition System,” was the students’ graduation project. Scientists and creative thinkers from all over the world participated in this conference to support innovation and creativity in the Arab region. Subject areas included Information and Communication Technology, Health Sciences, Environment and Entrepreneurship. Thirty eight groups represented eight Arab countries: Palestine, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Algeria and Libya.
