Project Kick Off

University of Salford
The kick off meeting got underway by an interesting tour of the facilities of the University of Salford’s Media City UK campus. Media City UK is recognised as one of the most innovative developments in Britain and is the home of major BBC and ITV departments. Many collaborative projects are carried out using state-of-the-art technology.
After important information regarding the project management required on a TEMPUS project was discussed, each steering committee member presented a short overview of their responsibilities to the project.
The following day allowed for more presentations, followed by a tour of the University of Salford’s main campus and research and enterprise facilities including the Energy House. Later there were presentations and discussions regarding UK industry, research and E-learning.
The day concluded with an exciting trip to Manchester Airport, where all committee members were able to enjoy a tour of Concorde and try their hand at flying in a Flight Simulator!
All project members report having a really good time and are geared up for this latest undertaking.
