Best Business Plan Contest at Birzeit University

Twenty three (23) groups of young Palestinian entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas and value propositions in front a jury panel consisting of information technology specialists, engineering, and business development professionals.
Since the start of the semester, the groups participated in a rigorous training program that is designed to assist them in developing the blueprints of their first business ventures - the business plans.
The training program that they attended consisted of multiple stages:
Entrepreneurship training: Generating and refining business ideas
Workshops: Meeting and interacting with experienced entrepreneurs
Team Building: Participants select their partners and create their teams
Business Plan Writing Training: Participants learn the intricacies of business plan writing
Developing a robust business plan: Participants develop business plans for their business ideas
Participate in the "best business plan" competition: Pitching of ideas
Winners get to receive pre-incubation services at the Business Startup Center

Four professionally-written business plans captured the attention of the judging panel - as they contained many elements of success:

The winning teams will receive coaching and mentoring services at the IT Center of Excellence. Furthermore, they all are intending to register with www.bidnetwork.org and submit their business plan on its website so as to garner visibility and connect with potential investors.
