Entrepreneurship Development and Business Startup Program

Transforming job seekers into job providers by providing young talented Palestinians with the necessary skills, knowledge, and hands-on experiences so that they can become technology innovators and successful entrepreneurs.
In today's complex business world, starting your own business can be a daunting process. Entrepreneurs must arm themselves with real-world experience and essential entrepreneurial skills in order to start, grow, and sustain their newly-created ventures.

This program is a business startup catalyst that caters to young aspiring Palestinian entrepreneurs by providing them with valuable resources, training, networking, and incentives to enable them to transform their business ideas into viable startups.
What are the benefits of the pre-incubation program?
Gain valuable knowledge:
Participants learn the intricacies of starting a new venture from scratch. They learn about useful tools, methodologies, and strategies that can help them avoid the most common pitfalls that repeatedly face business startups.
Expand your network:
Peer groups are great resources for top professional help. On average, half the program participants are computer science and IT students while the other half are students with strong business backgrounds. Student groups get to mingle, brainstorm, build teams and make new business partners and friends. Further, participants get to meet and interact with experienced entrepreneurs and potential VCs.
Learn new essential skills:
Participants are immersed in highly-interactive and fun learning activities that help them develop essential entrepreneurial skills: perseverance, competitiveness, critical thinking, business communication, risk assessment, team-building and leadership.
Become self-employed:
By participating in the program, participants are required to prepare business plans for their business ideas. Successful business plans that are submitted by the program participants will be eligible to be transformed into startups and high-growth enterprises - creating wealth for their owners and helping them achieve financial independence even while they are still in college.
Other Ways to Get Involved:
Volunteering provides you with an opportunity to advance your professional development and learn new skill sets. Further, you will be given the chance to meet and interact with entrepreneurs and business professionals and thus help expand your network base. Birzeit University's student volunteers get to receive community work hours and can qualify to get a certificate of appreciation for their time and work.
